After a brief illness Giovanni Bizzarro passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on September 12th, 2024, at age 85. Giovanni is predeceased by his wife of 64 years Stella. Survived by his loving daughters Virginia (Chris) Brohman, Mena (Dino) Rego and his granddaughters Nicole (Paul) McIsaac, Daniella Brohman, Natasha Rego (Carmelo LaRosa), and Sophia Rego (Nino Borelli). Giovanni also leaves behind his precious great grandchildren Kingston and Nash Doyon and Marcella McIsaac.

Giovanni is lovingly remembered by his sister Francesca Moscatiello (Anthony, deceased) and brother Salvatore Bizzarro (Maria). Giovanni is predeceased by his brothers in Italy, Eugenio (Antonietta), Angelo (Anna) and Marino Bizzarro. Always remembered by his closest cousin Maddalena Mainolfi (Genarro, deceased) whose love and friendship were present throughout his life. Also left to grieve are sisters in law Josie Cantone (Peter, deceased) and Mena Morgillo (John). Giovanni will be missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada, USA and Italy.

Giovanni was a kind, caring and gentle man who enjoyed spending time with his family, yearly vacations with Stella to Acapulco, winemaking and tending to his vegetable garden. Giovanni was retired from the City of Hamilton where he worked for over 30 years operating the Chedoke ski hill lifts and maintaining the fairways at Kings Forest Golf Club.

The family would like to express our gratitude to Dr Erin Gallagher for helping Giovanni and our family through a difficult time once again.

Visitation to be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, on Tuesday, September 17, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass to be held at Annunciation of Our Lord Parish, 280 Limeridge Rd W, Hamilton, on Wednesday, September 18, at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

Dad / Nonno, we are truly comforted with the knowledge that you are reunited with Mom / Nonna.
We love you and will miss you always.
