Marielle MELANSON Obituary
Marielle Melanson, 55, of Scoudouc, NB, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013, after a short battle with cancer, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born in Moncton, NB, on July 30, 1957 she was the daughter of the late Alphée and the late Regina (née: Maillet) Melanson. Mrs. Melanson was employed at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre for 17 years as a practical nurse. She had a passion for all animals, especially her cat and two dogs. She is survived by her common-law spouse, Jean-Guy Roy; one brother, Roger (Denise) Melanson of Memramcook; three sisters: Diane (Dave) Landry of Cap-Pelé, Bernice (Arthur) Cormier and Denise (Emery) Ouellet, both of Memramcook; her niece, Natalie Leblanc-Melanson, daughter of her late brother, André; one half-brother, Bob (Lea) Gautreau of Fredericton; as well as several other nieces and nephews. She will also be sadly missed by her many co-workers. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, André.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, NB on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment in Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur parish cemetery, Scoudouc, NB.
