It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Francesca Nicosia (Fantucchio) on March 22, 2024, at the age of 93 years. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Stefano. Mother to Dino (Lucy) Nicosia, Sara (Vito) DeSilvio, Lina (John) DiPietro, and Tony (Lana) Nicosia. Sister to the late Salvatore (late Pina), Marietta (late Salvatore), Teresa (late Carmelo), Angelina and Calogero, Luciano and Filippa, and Pina and Pietro. Sister-in-law to late Raffaella (late Salvatore), late Rosa (late Antonino), late Mario (late Lola), Giuseppina (late Gino), and late Calogero. Nonna to Cristina (Daryl), Danielle (Keith), Leanne (Mark), Frank (Nicole), Steven (Lindsay), Michael, Melissa (Nuno), Claudia, and Joseph. Bisnonna to 12 great-grandchildren and zia to many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all.Francesca cherished her family and spoiled them with her delicious cooking. She had a passion for sewing and for her flower and vegetable gardens.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 26th from 2-4 and 6-8 at Bay Gardens Funeral Home 947 Rymal Rd East, Hamilton. Funeral Mass will be offered at St Catherine of Siena, 620 Rymal Rd East Hamilton, Wednesday, March 27 at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations in Francesca’s memory to Alzheimer’s Society or Sick Kids Hospital, would be appreciated.
